You can extend your Pathways pass for a subscription fee of $50 for an additional 12 months of exclusive access to opportunities!

Can I choose different activities and go at my own pace?

Yes. The Pathways Program is flexible, and you can choose the opportunities that suit your goals and schedule. Some participants focus on monthly markets, while others take advantage of events and courses and mix up their experience and skills with a few markets every year.

Are there costs to go to monthly markets?

Yes. Each Pathways market and/or pop-up shop is $65 – this fee is heavily subsidised thanks to EDII’s Maker2Market program and our collaboration partners. Young people have access to opportunities that would normally be out of reach and at a fraction of the cost.

For example a casual stall outside our Pathways program would cost adults: Old Bus Depot Markets : $115, Majura Park Shopping Centre: $150, Capital Food Markets $300.

Most likely, yes! Many creative teens in the Pathways Program have turned their ideas into real profits. Because you’ll be selling directly to real customers, you’ll quickly see whether your product has value for them. And the best part — all sales you make on market day are yours to keep!

While we can’t guarantee sales (since every product and venue is different), here’s what we’ve seen on average:

  • Most Pathways participants earn $250–$300 per market day
  • More experienced participants often earn $400–$600 per market day

Beyond the money, market days are a chance to build your brand, test new products, and grow your confidence. It’s real-world learning while earning — and a pretty great alternative for a creative teen to a getting a regular part-time job.

The world needs more creators – back yourself and give it a shot!
