Young people need more than knowledge — they need the ability to apply it and execute.

To thrive in the jobs and challenges of tomorrow, students must develop higher-order thinking, engage in evidence-based discussions, and confidently use processes such as design thinking.

Design thinking is a human-centred approach that builds critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving skills, empowering students to explore complex issues and create innovative, practical solutions.

Our fast-paced, highly interactive workshop develops young change-makers who learn to turn ideas into action.

Students work collaboratively, strengthen communication skills, and design real-world ideas and prototypes that can be tested, refined and improved.

During this workshop, students step into the role of a change-maker and designer and learn how to use design thinking to turn ideas into action.

Students will:

  • Explore what it really means to be a change-maker and identify the qualities they want to work on for themselves

  • Choose a social issue they care about and dive deeper into why it matters

  • Use empathy mapping to understand the people affected by the issue

  • Watch and discuss inspiring real-world examples of people who turned ideas into impact

  • Learn and use design thinking to research, analyse and clearly define a problem

  • Work in teams to generate creative ideas and build quick prototypes

  • Develop one idea into a tangible prototype to test in the real world

  • Share and present prototypes to get feedback and improvement

  • Develop a timeline to take a prototype into action in the real world.

Our workshops can also include a Q&A with a community leader or social entrepreneur, giving students the chance to ask questions and learn from someone who has created real change.

Our one-day workshop is fast-paced, hands-on and collaborative — designed to build confidence, creativity and problem-solving skills while helping students create ideas and action that matters.

We welcome the opportunity to work with schools to build students’ 21st-century skills, mindset and capabilities.
